The Story

In early 2025 Dr Katherine began planning a move to Dubai and, of course, the most critical part of this move would be her two gorgeous Chihuahuas Eszie and Edwardo. After booking Eszie and Edwardo’s travel with Leanne and her team at All Care Pet Transport, Leanne offered Katherine the opportunity to have a PetTrakr GPS photo tracking device attached to Eszie and Edwardo’s travel crate.

“At first I was very worried about this, I wasn’t sure I really wanted to see them while travelling in case something went wrong and I couldn’t do anything to help them. It was only after Leanne reassured me that pet travel is a vastly safe undertaking that I decided I would give the PetTrakr a go. And I’m glad that I did! Once I saw the first photo updates coming through I could see that Eszie and Edwardo were quite relaxed and any worries that I still had disappated. Each photo update has a GPS location so I could see where they were. After they landed in Dubai I could see them snoozing happily in their crate waiting for their arrival vet checks. So in contrast to my initial expectations I loved being able to follow along, to see where they were and what they were seeing.”

The Trip

All Care Pet Transport collected Eszie and Edwardo from home on the morning of their flight. Before heading off to the vet for their pre travel checks All Care’s pet handler attached the PetTrakr device to the travel crate. Dr Katherine was able to follow along in real time on Eszie and Edwardo’s dedicated PetTrakr trip portal as they travelled to the vet, waited for their appointment and as they travelled back home – their flight was only later in the evening so Katherine was able to have them at home with her for the day.

All Care met back up with Eszie and Edwardo at the airport for check in four hours before their flight departed. Once they were back in their crate Dr Katherine was able follow Eszie and Edwardo once they were air side at the airport. Photo updates from Eszie and Edwardo’s crate continued right up until they were in the cargo hold of the Emirates aircraft that would take them to Dubai. Once the aircraft lifted off from Perth the PetTrakr device switched into flight mode and a message popped up on Eszie and Edwwardo’s trip page with a link to FlightRadar24.com where their flight could be tracked.

Upon landing the PetTrakr device typically takes 20-30 minutes to confirm its geolocation before recommencing updates. Once updated recommenced he Eszie and Edwardo were seen on their way to the pet reception area. Dr Katherin was able to see Eszie and Edwardo relaxing and catching up on a bit of sleep while they waited for the vet to arrive. Once their vet check was complete they were soon on their way again to the receiving agents Sandy Paws who let them out for a leg stretch and the first bit of UAE sand on their paws before getting them on their way to their new home.
